UINTA'S CAMPOUT

Our family LOVES to camp! We went up in the Uinta's for a few days to get away and relax. There are hundreds of lakes up there and we camped right by one called Blue Lake. It was so beautiful and refreshing to be outdoors. Avery went fishing for her very first time, but unfortunately didn't catch anything. We hiked around and went Geo Caching (you look for hidden capsules left by others using GPS). I think it's good for the kids to be outdoors and explore around and just play and have fun. We were able to have some great conversations with the kids and spend some good quality time together as a family! Here is an awesome view of Blue Lake at dusk.

HAMMERHEAD OF FIRE!!

We spent the evening with all of our great friends celebrating the 24th! After a yummy barbecue the kids wore themselves out doing the slip n slide and water slides! The fireworks display was pretty awesome too!! Our pioneers really paved the way for us, and we enjoy so much today because of their great sacrifices.

THE POLICE IN CONCERT

Can I just say AWESOME! Aaron and I haven't been to a concert together since we were teenagers. We decided months ago to snag some Police tickets when we heard they were reuniting to tour and coming to Utah. I defnatley felt my age there as most fans were between 30 to 50 years old! We had so much fun and they were amazing to see in concert!! So glad we went it was a blast! :)

GIRLS NIGHT OUT!!!

I was feeling a little guilty that I hadn't really done much for Avery's birthday back on July 2nd. We didn't really do anything official since we were gone camping with my family as part of our reunion. So I decided to take her to the mall for some fun girl time!! Avery had never been to Build a Bear, so we went there first (highly recommend this for little kids). She was so excited and bombarded by the many choices of clothing and accessories, a girls paradise!! She picked to have her bear clothed in a Disney Snow White dress up, which is no surprise because she loves all of the Disney Princesses. Now they can dress up together! Next we made a stop at the Disney Store and browsed around. What was I thinking? Like I was going to get out of that store without some Princess thing. Then we hit the Gymboree store (more for mommy than Avery) and then we were off to grab a bite at Chick-Fil-A. We made one last stop at Coney's Frozen Custard for a yummy treat. It was really fun spending some time as just the two of us. Avery is a fun little girl. She is smart, silly, and sweet and I just adore her!

NIGHT OWL

I have finally sat down and figured out how to do this whole blog thing (with lots of help from my hubby). I chose a background (due to change if i run across something I like better), and we added a play list. I know there is still so much more to learn. I have seen some pretty cool blogs with lots of bells and whistles! Ok, so I am about to pass out because I have pulled a MAJOR late nighter (I blame you Brooke ;)) I have to apologize up front because I love photography and I am going to bombard my blog with photos. We just survived a week long Sant family reunion that was a total blast! One of the days we had our family picture taken since this was the first time my entire family has been together in years. I will post some pictures that our awesome photographer took (http://www.alainadespain.com/ or http://www.adigitaldarkroom.blogspot.com/) and also some shots that I took that day as well. Some day I want to have a SUPER-DUPER SWEET (and very expensive) camera! Wow! I am starting to see blurry, I am going to make this snappy and then go jump in bed!
